FX knows comedy. There newest series, TOTALLY BIASED WITH W. KAMAU BELL premieres on Thursday August 9 11 PM. Let’s see what it’s all about…
9:47 AM: After that last panel it’s amazing to see a budding comedian along side Louis CK series
9:49 AM: Bell says that FX told them to make a good show, that there hasn’t been talk of partisan talk regarding the series
9:49 AM: I’m really curious to know where Chris Rock is broadcasting from. It doesn’t look like NYC…
9:51 AM: Bell says that he would feel the legacy of Rock if he wasn’t working on the series. Rock adds that this is about doing something faster and fresher
9:52 AM: Bell calls Rock “Foul Mouthed Yoda.” That’s darling
9:53 AM: EP Chuck Sklar also points out “this will be different because Kamua is a different person”
9:54 AM: “I’ve taken on Fox News for years, we just now have the same paystubb. But this isn’t about taking down Fox News”
9:55 AM: Rock says that Louis CK’s deal is “the best deal he’s ever seen for a show.” Also added that he’d love the same sort of thing

10:00 AM: Bell values Rock’s opinion but also recognizes that this is his show and that he’s very fortunate to be on FX, a network that supports comedic freedom
10:01 AM: Bell will not do any stand up right now because Rock told him he needs to put it all into the show
10:03 AM: Bell came up with his original show by asking what he would want to perform if he had the freedom. Traveled around successfully, then Rock called saying he wanted to work on a show with him. Over time they got the TOTALLY BIASED format
