BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD stars Quvenzhane Wallis as Hushpuppy, a 6 year old girl living and dreaming in the Louisiana bayou with her dad, Wink (Dwight Henry). What starts off as a normal day for Hushpuppy ends with a flood so massive her entire neighborhood is plunged under water. The film is whimsical and charming in the most powerful way, and fortunately we had a chance to talk with stars Wallis and Henry about their experiences making BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD.
